Leslie Godfree

Leslie Allison Godfree (born on April 27, 1885 in Brighton[1] – November 17, 1971 in Richmond, London[2]) was a British male tennis player.

Godfree won his first championship in 1923, partnering Randolph Lycett to win the men's doubles at Wimbledon. His second championship came in 1926; Leslie and his wife Kitty were the only married couple ever to win the mixed doubles championship at Wimbledon.[3] He was a runner-up in the mixed-doubles at Wimbledon on two further occasions.[4]

He was also member of the British Davis Cup team 1923-1927[1] and competed at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris.[5]
